Social Media Spin

Last week, I turned in my res­ig­na­tion at a small Inter­net Mar­ket­ing com­pany in Salt Lake City. This week, I’ve been weigh­ing my options of going back into con­sult­ing or going inhouse again with an agency.  While I’m weigh­ing these options, I’ve been check­ing out some of the Social Media Job Boards. Here’s 5 of the best I’ve found so far:

1. http://www.jobsinsocialmedia.com — Blog­gers, pod­cast­ers, online com­mu­nity man­agers and social media pro­fes­sion­als are the tar­get audi­ence for this job board. It really has a lot of jobs, even here in UT where there tends to be fewer social media job posts.
2. http://www.talentzoo.com — I’ve actu­ally been hang­ing out at this site all week, not only for the job list­ings but also for the great arti­cles rel­e­vant to the PR, adver­tis­ing, mar­ket­ing, seo industries.
3. http://www.socialmediajobs.com — This site is clean and easy to search with a lot of full-​​time and even a fair amount of free­lance social media jobs.
4. http://www.newmediahire.com — Per­son­al­ized pages, groups, videos, free job alerts, the abil­ity to post your resume…the fea­tures this job site boasts are impressive.
5. Web Strat­egy by Jere­miah — One of the best blogs avail­able on social media by a Sr For­rester Ana­lyst Jere­miah Owyang. He indi­cates that sev­eral peo­ple have been hired because of his blog post series — excel­lent resource.

Social Media jobs are really open­ing up around the coun­try, so there are a lot of options for some­one like me who has many years in the trenches of inter­net mar­ket­ing.
